A 12-year-old Jersey City girl was wounded in a drive-by shooting earlier this month when three members of a group of allied Jersey City gangs opened fire on a rival gang in retaliation for a previous attack, federal authorities said Wednesday. Three men have been arrested in the Tuesday evening shooting of a 12-year-old girl in Jersey City, authorities said. The guns recovered in the arrest of Jashaun Tate, Damari Blackwell and Marc Taylor were identified as a semi-automatic, Intractec MOD AB-10 9mm pistol and a Glock 21 .45 caliber handgun, police said. The girl, who was struck in the leg, and another person were shot on Martin Luther King Boulevard near Oak Street around 6 p.m., responders said. Stuck In The Mud: Rescuers Retrieve Three Stranded In Hackensack River
Rescuers had to retrieve a trio of boaters who got stuck in the low-tide mud in the Hackensack River. The three got stuck near dusk Tuesday just off River Road in Teaneck. Teaneck firefighters brought them to shore. Also responding were firefighters from Hackensack and River Edge, with Bogota firefighters providing coverage in Teaneck.

Jersey City Moves Forward With Largest Mixed-Income Development Site In Tri-State Area
The first phase of the redevelopment plan for Jersey City's Bayfront property -- the largest mixed-income development site in the region -- was announced Tuesday amid the coronavirus pandemic. Fatal Crash: Motorcyclist Ejected Off Route 3 Bridge Into Hackensack River
A 28-year-old motorcyclist from Paterson was killed late Tuesday when he was ejected off a Route 3 bridge into the Hackensack River in Secaucus, responders said. Firefighters from Secaucus and East Rutherford recovered the body of the as-yet unidentified victim near the Clarion Empire Meadowlands Hotel south of the bridge about a half-hour after the 11 p.m. crash, they said. They also found his helmet. An ALS unit made the pronouncement. The highway was reopened around 4 a.m.

What began as a domestic incident at a Secaucus condo Sunday night turned into a shootout with police that left a man dead, authorities said. Following protocol, state Attorney General Gurbir S. Driver Hospitalized After Tractor-Trailer Totals Kia Approaching Little Ferry Bridge
A 29-year-old Lodi woman was hospitalized with minor injuries Monday after her Kia and a tractor-trailer collided approaching the Hackensack River bridge in Little Ferry, authorities said. The tractor-trailer "was making a left going south on Bergen Turnpike onto 46 East when they crashed, pushing the Kia into a [utility] pole," Detective Sgt. Rockland Gets $3.6M From State Bridge NY Program
Rockland County has been awarded four grants totaling more than $3.6 million through the state’s Bridge NY initiative.
